Michael Cogen, J.D., Ph.D.Michael Cogen is a member of the state bar of California. He has participated in the American Bar Association, and the bar associations of Marin, San Francisco, Sonoma, and Contra Costa Counties. Mr. Cogen has been a member of the family law, ADR, mediation and collaborative law sections of various bar associations and is a member of the Academy of Family Mediators. He is a licensed real estate broker and has provided income tax counseling in real estate acquisitions and exchanges.Mr. Cogen holds a doctorate in social-clinical psychology with an emphasis in dispute resolution and family dynamics. Mr. Cogen has served as a Special Master in family law matters involving custody and property issues. He has conducted research on the manner in which a professional's underlying attitudes effect his or her choice of resolving clients problems. Currently, he is studying the effects of prolonged stress upon employee productivity.
